Thereafter: £47.50 per additional half hour
Planned Drainage Rates
Thereafter: £60.00 per additional half hour
Standard Emergency Hours
For urgent issues occurring during normal business hours (8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. weekdays).
Emergency Plumbing Rates
Includes a £45.00 call-out fee. Thereafter: £42.50 per additional 30 minutes.
Emergency Drainage Rates
Includes a £45.00 call-out fee. Thereafter: £47.50 per additional 30 minutes.
Out of Hours & Weekends
Applies to all calls received after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday.
OOH Emergency Plumbing
Includes a £45.00 call-out fee. Thereafter: £52.50 per additional 30 minutes.
OOH Emergency Drainage
Includes a £45.00 call-out fee. Thereafter: £57.50 per additional 30 minutes.
How Our Hourly Billing & Protection Works
Many local operators charges flat day rates or hide extra processing fees inside complex contract language. At Wilsons Plumbing & Drainage, we do things differently.
When we attend an emergency plumbing or drainage call-out, we charge a combined call-out fee and first-hour rate. This ensures our engineers are compensated for rapid mobilization and readying tools on arrival.
To protect you from paying for full hours you didn't use, we bill by the half-hour after the first initial hour. If a standard tap leak repair takes 1 hour and 10 minutes, you only pay for the first hour and one additional half-hour interval.
Compliance & Standards Note:
All domestic plumbing work is conducted in strict alignment with UK Building Regulations Part G (Sanitation, hot water safety and water efficiency) and Part H (Drainage and waste disposal). All components installed are WRAS-approved for quality assurance.

Are there really no hidden costs or VAT to add?
Absolutely none. The rates you see listed above are exactly what you will see on your invoice. Wilsons Plumbing & Drainage does not charge VAT on top of our hourly or emergency rates, meaning domestic homeowners save directly compared to VAT-registered corporate service chains.
What is included in the emergency first hour rate?
The emergency standard and OOH pricing includes our standard call-out mobilization fee (£45.00) plus the labor for the first hour of active investigation, containment, and repair on your premises.
Do you charge for parts and materials?
Our rates represent trade labor and standard consumables. If structural components, custom valves, replacement pumps, or major pipework fittings are required, these are priced clearly on-site before installation begins. We only use high-grade WRAS-approved components.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept debit and credit cards on-site via secure electronic card readers, bank transfers, and cash payments. Invoices are provided electronically immediately upon job completion for your records and insurance purposes.
